Hello, I’m Chelsea Brink, a creative director and textile artist based in Minneapolis. Idle Hour is my experimental textile studio where I conjure colors and patterns through the use of natural dyes.

My process is slow by design. It prioritizes thoughtful sourcing of materials and honors both meditation and play in every step. Each color is developed using plants (or other natural materials) that are homegrown, foraged or purchased from ethical farmers and suppliers. Every pattern is painted or printed and dyed by hand. One-of-a-kind offerings are released periodically throughout the year and collaboration inquiries are always welcome.
